Best time to visit
When’s the best time to head to Argyll and Bute in Scotland? A look at the climate charts will tell you.
The weather data comes from the Lephinmore station, right in the heart of Argyll and Bute.

To get it out of the way first: Argyll and Bute is part of Scotland’s west coast, so it is naturally rather prone to rain. And unfortunately midges play a role here too. So the same rule applies to Argyll and Bute: May is the best month for experiencing spring without getting eaten alive by the midges.

Temperature-wise, summer in July is naturally the warmest – though July is also the first peak season for midges.
In short: if possible, May is – as always on the west coast of the Highlands – the best choice.
